There are some exciting things happening with the OpenStack efforts. The team over there is getting ready to hold their semi-annual Design Summit this week in San Antonio, TX downtown in the Weston Centre from November 9-12. With an expected crowd of over 300 attendees, this event serves as the official kick-off for the next technology release (code named Bexar) as well as a chance for the general community to discuss business, marketing, and community governance. Drawing from the diverse community, the business track has speakers from Accenture, Anso Labs, NASA, PWC, Bechtel Corporation, Nicira Networks, Cloudscaling, and Cloudkick. The technical sessions are led by developers proposing new features to create a clear roadmap for the development community to execute to for Bexar and future releases. The final two days of the event are more hands on with an InstallFest, Document Sprint, and open developer coding sessions.
All business track and general sessions are being video taped for publication to the OpenStack website after the event. Technical sessions are being live audio-streamed and are open to anyone wishing to participate. Watch the OpenStack blog or follow OpenStack on twitter (@openstack) for more event details before, during, and after the event.
