In just five years, OpenStack has moved from conception to enterprise deployment.
It’s almost time, once again, for the OpenStack Summit, a four-day conference for developers, users and administrators of OpenStack cloud software. It’s a great place to get started and keep connected with OpenStack, and this year our international destination is Tokyo.
Rackspace Cloud Files is a massively scalable cloud object storage system built using OpenStack Swift. As with other OpenStack projects, Swift is written in Python to take advantage of its rich technical features, fast delivery of capabilities and quick ramp-up time for developers to contribute.
As part of the OpenSource track at Grace Hopper, Anne Gentle will share findings and best practices while running a large documentation site for multiple open source projects within OpenStack as one of three “Lightning Talks” on Oct. 15 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
