Client Spotlight: KCIC

For the next post in our ongoing client spotlight series, I’d like to take a look at the work we did with KCIC, a consulting company that helps corporations across verticals like manufacturing, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals manage product liabilities. KCIC offers these companies consulting, platform-related services, and custom solutions so they can achieve greater efficiency, clarity, and insights.

What was the Challenge?

KCIC was experiencing an influx of new opportunities from clients looking for help with complex technology and security requirements. Their previous cloud vendor couldn’t offer the flexibility to add additional security on top of basic industry standards, so KCIC decided to look for a new partner. However, flexibility to meet the security needs of their customers wasn’t their only requirement, KCIC was also seeking a managed service provider (MSP) that had experience with robust and growth-minded solutions like AWS and Microsoft. That’s where Datapipe came in.

Operational Impact?

Since migrating to Datapipe’s managed Microsoft Azure solutions, KCIC has implemented advanced security and disaster recovery solutions, high availability for all priority systems, including Microsoft SQL Enterprise availability groups, and added the ability to scale the environment almost immediately. Additionally, KCIC has seen improved response time and reduced operating cost by approximately 10 percent. Ultimately, with Datapipe’s help, KCIC has optimized their IT organization, adding functionality improvements and redundancies while reducing overhead costs. They’ve also expanded their production and disaster recovery environments, giving them the peace of mind that their critical business functions can keep running smoothly in case a disruption occurs.
