Datapipe Government Solutions Expands Portfolio with Department of Veterans Affairs

Today we announced that we have joined with TechAnax, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, to plan and execute a data center migration project and provide ongoing hosting support services for the Department of Veterans Affairs as part of a multi-million dollar deal.

Lead contractor on the project, TechAnax, a professional services firm providing customized information technology and management consulting solutions to the government, turned to our Government Solutions team to provide all physical support during the data center transition. In addition, they turned to our government team for ongoing data center monitoring and maintenance. The contract consists of a one-year base period and a four-year option period with the ability to transition applications into our FISMA compliant private cloud environment.

All services we provide in both the base and option periods adhere to strict FISMA High regulations and security requirements. Additionally, our involvement in the project satisfies two key federal mandates:

  • The Federal Mandate for Data Center Consolidation, which addresses decades of redundant IT investments that have resulted in a costly, unsustainable, and inefficient IT infrastructure;
  • The Cloud First Policy, which mandates that agencies take full advantage of cloud computing benefits to maximize capacity utilization, improve IT flexibility and responsiveness, and minimize cost. The contract includes the option to migrate to Datapipe’s FISMA compliant private cloud environment during the four-year option period.

For more than 15 years, we have been deploying and managing highly secure cloud, dedicated, and hybrid infrastructure for federal, state, and local government agencies. We were able to utilize our previous experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as our strategic partnership with Equinix to meet the agency’s exact requirements and help secure this project. We’re honored and excited to be involved and look forward to eventually moving this project completely to the cloud.

Fun fact: did you know that Datapipe has delivered cloud solutions for more than half of the cabinet-level agencies of the U.S. federal government and more than 30 states?
