Datapipe Named to CRN’s MSP 500 List for Ninth Straight Year

Every year, CRN publishes a list of the top 500 North American Managed Service Providers (MSPs) that are delivering the most cutting-edge approaches to managed services. Since 2009, Datapipe has been proud to be recognized by CRN as part of this prestigious list, and this year, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve placed on the CRN MSP 500 once again. In 2017, Datapipe has been listed in the Elite 150 category, which recognizes companies who are large, data center-focused solution providers with a strong mix of on- and off-premise services.

The recognition is a testament to the innovative managed services we provide at Datapipe, and it comes on the heels of another busy year for our expanded offerings. In 2016, Datapipe was named a global managed service provider partner of Alibaba Cloud, a partnership that allows our Chinese customers to grow outside of the country and simplifies international clients’ expansions into China. In June, we debuted our first Russian data center, expanding our presence in the region and allowing clients to tap into Russia’s growing e-commerce market. Then in August, we acquired Advanced AWS Consulting Partner Adapt, further expanding our capabilities in Europe. Different companies and markets have dissimilar requirements for deploying cloud solutions, and this year’s announcements are Datapipe’s response to those concerns; Datapipe is committed to anticipating customer needs and continues to expand offerings in new markets to facilitate global growth.

As part of the announcement, CRN cites a Markets and Markets predication that the managed services market will grow to $242.5 billion by 2021. At Datapipe, we believe this growth is indicative of the essential services provided by MSPs outside of just cost-effectiveness—companies realize that they need a partner to expertly guide them on their cloud journey, and not just another vendor. Rich Dolan briefly served as Senior Director of Corporate Marketing at Rackspace. Before that he was Senior Vice President of Marketing for Datapipe, where he spent 16 years developing and driving its world class marketing team as the company grew into one of the leading global managed service providers, from the early days as a start up to a global enterprise player. He built and oversaw digital marketing and demand generation, event management, content management, internal communications, brand management, partner marketing and web properties. Rich managed the consolidation of marketing resources from five acquisitions, and led Datapipe to thirteen Gartner Magic Quadrant recognitions across the globe, including four placements in the Leaders quadrant. Before Datapipe, Rich spent four years with web design firm RareMedium, where he designed and architected web presences and client facing applications for Madison Square Garden, JP Morgan, Atlantis, XM Radio and Credit Suisse First Boston. Rich graduated summa cum laude from the New York Institute of Technology with a BA in computer graphics. He lives in New York with his wife and daughter.
