Day in the Life – Friday at the Rack [Video]

Our culture has made Rackspace one of Fortune’s top places to work, and Racker Dave Sims decided to take his camera around to showcase a day in the life at the Castle (what we affectionately call our headquarters). Dave took on a personal challenge to film, produce and edit a video in just a single day.

In addition to seeing Rackers hard at work, you’ll get to experience several things at our San Antonio home office including:

Rookie O Presentations

Rookie O is where our new Rackers get to learn about all the different functions here at Rackspace in addition to the history of the company from those who built it. Rookies are teamed up and are responsible for decorating their table and delivering a skit on the final day of the week before they graduate.

Food Truck Friday

Different local food trucks gather to serve exotic cuisine ranging from Pakistani food to Texas BBQ. It started out with just a single truck and now has turned into an event that all Rackers look forward to at the end of the week.

The Slide at the Castle

What’s the fastest way to get from the second floor to the bottom level? The slide of course! Wearing leather soled shoes is one trick to gain maximum speed.

Rookie O Graduation

This Friday all the rookies graduate from Rookie O and are rookies no more! Additionally, we celebrate all the Racker birthdays for the month at this big celebration. This was the first time to have the Rookie O graduation in the new lobby of the Castle.

Racker Wedding

A WHAT?!? Yes, a Racker decided to tie the knot today! This was quite the day in the life at Rackspace!
