Gartner: Rackspace a Leader in Public Cloud Managed Services

Customers reap the benefit of end-to-end capabilities, unbiased expertise and a deeply embedded service culture with Rackspace managed public cloud services.

For the second year in a row, Rackspace has earned a place in the Leaders quadrant of Gartner’s 2018 Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Managed Service Providers, Worldwide.

Due to the complex nature and barriers to entry for cloud adoption, we believe it’s critical that managed service providers offer comprehensive capabilities, including professional services, application and infrastructure services and ongoing cloud management — to ultimately accelerate customers’ digital transformation journeys.

Here’s what we believe differentiates Rackspace in the public cloud managed services ecosystem:

  • End-to-end approach: Rackspace offers a broad end-to-end approach that helps customers navigate and manage their public cloud journey by delivering 24x7x365 access to certified experts, tooling and automation, migration services, architectural guidance, deployment, advanced monitoring, proactive optimization and remediation. We have successfully executed this approach for over 1,000 customers. In short, we make it simple and easy for customers to get to and run on AWS, Azure and Google.
  • Service DNA: Rackspace’s deep “Fanatical” service culture and obsession about going above and beyond for our customers is reflected in our consistent positive feedback from our growing list of mid-market and enterprise customers. We provide a range of service levels and flexibility to meet our customers’ needs. Customers love us (and we love them!).
  • Data-driven and unbiased opinion: Rackspace provides truly unbiased but highly opinionated advice to our customers on which public cloud platform(s) to choose for their specific workloads and the best architecture path to maximize their cloud journeys. This advice is completely data driven and based on a deep comparative assessment of approximately 100 technical and commercial factors that customers should consider before making their public cloud decisions.
  • Next-generation services at scale: Rackspace offers a unique combination of a) leading multi-cloud technology and tools that provides a unified customer experience across the public clouds and b) one of the largest workforces of public cloud experts in the world (we have more than 1,400 public cloud certifications). This combination is unmatched in the industry and allows us to scale with our customers’ needs.

While this Magic Quadrant only measures our public cloud capabilities, we recognize that most customers demand a broader set of solutions. That’s why we’ve been investing to deliver an unmatched portfolio of integrated services across leading public and private clouds, managed hosting, colocation, application management, managed security, professional services and 48 data centers on five continents.
