HPE Names Rackspace 2018 Global Service Provider Partner of the Year

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has recognized Rackspace as its 2018 Global Service Provider Partner of the Year.

The award, which HPE announced today during HPE Discover, the company’s largest annual conference, recognizes its business partners for their “outstanding performance and accomplishments that raise the standard for business excellence and customer satisfaction” while “driving meaningful business results for our shared customers.”

Rackspace earned the award for our strategic partnership, developing joint solutions with HPE incorporating Rackspace Private Cloud-as-a-Service (PCaaS), including OpenStack, VMware, Microsoft and Kubernetes technologies along with an innovative pay per use economic model for OpenStack, plus Rackspace Dedicated Servers.

This is a partnership I had the pleasure to lead, working closely with senior HPE leaders including Antonio Neri and Ana Pinczuk. Together, our teams created industry firsts, joint offerings which innovate in ways that matter to enterprises. There is no more satisfying outcome than to advance the capabilities of our joint customers through this partnership.

HPE recognizes that enterprises the world over trust Rackspace to accelerate their digital transformations, which are being built on a wide range of cloud platforms, including Private Cloud-as-a-Service. We offer unbiased expertise across an unrivaled portfolio of modern technologies for applications, data, security and infrastructure, all backed by a Fanatical Experience — from the first consultation to ongoing operations.

Rackspace Private-Cloud-as-a-Service, together with HPE infrastructure, is ideal for most enterprise applications, delivering superior economics, ease of migration and greater architectural and data control. Rackspace takes private cloud further by relieving organizations’ IT teams of their operational burden. That enables accelerated innovation, application development and agility.

Enterprises embracing Rackspace PCaaS can choose from three leading private cloud technologies: OpenStack, VMware and Microsoft — and that’s in addition to the Kubernetes container management platform, and will recognize cost-savings and operational benefits from a choice of economic and deployment models, all within a fully managed cloud service.

Rackspace and HPE collaborate to provide enterprise organizations worldwide the most reliable and secure solutions to fit their individual needs. That includes Safe Banking Systems, a Rackspace and HPE customer, which sought secure and scalable infrastructure to support anti-money laundering and compliance software and services.

“There is a repeating theme in all drivers of the Safe Banking Systems relationship with Rackspace,” said founder, CEO and President David Schiffer. “Reliability, security and scalability.”

Rackspace and HPE have a worked together for many years to solve customer problems with trusted and innovative solutions, including:

  • The industry’s first OpenStack Private Cloud with pay per use infrastructure, announced at HPE Discover Madrid in Nov 2017 and Rackspace Private Cloud Everywhere Powered by VMware with pay per use infrastructure, announced at Discover. These solutions expand the Rackspace Private Cloud-as-a-Service portfolio and change the economics of private cloud by giving enterprises public cloud-like utility pricing, elastic infrastructure and simplified IT, in a private cloud environment located in their datacenter, a colocation facility or a datacenter managed by Rackspace.
  • Rackspace Kubernetes-as-a-Service with pay per use infrastructure, also announced at Discover, which enables organizations to more easily transition new workloads into Kubernetes in a private cloud environment, which helps modernize application development, accelerate time to market and dramatically increase cost savings.
  • Later this year, Rackspace will announce managed support for HPE’s latest server platforms, the HPE Proliant DL380 Gen10 and DL560 Gen 10, giving organizations 24x7x365 operational guidance, optimization and support on high performance, dedicated servers.

We are proud to be a strategic partner with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and honored to receive this Global Partner of the Year award. We’ll use these accolades to further drive our passion for being a trusted partner across platforms and delivering innovative solutions to guide our customers’ digital transformations.
