Rackspace is honored once again to have earned Microsoft’s Hosting Partner of the Year award.
This is an honor we’ve now earned for the fifth time — the only hosting company to hit that milestone. And while it highlights the work we’ve done over the past year, it also stands as a testament to the success of our longtime partnership.
In 2003, Rackspace was one of only four companies in the U.S. to earn Microsoft Gold Certification status in its Application Provider category.
We had just 400 employees then, but already we knew that Fanatical Support — our uniquely radical approach to customer service, which means 24x7x365 live reactive and proactive support from certified experts with a singular commitment to relentless customer satisfaction — would differentiate us from the pack.
Today, with more than 6,000 Rackers, hundreds of whom are Microsoft Certified Professionals running thousands of Microsoft workloads every day, Rackspace offers more than a decade of experience supporting Microsoft products.
The coupling of Microsoft’s industry leading technology with Rackspace Fanatical Support – that’s where the magic happens, as our growing number of joint customers attest.
Rackspace expertise on Microsoft technology is wide-ranging. Our customers’ collaboration and productivity workloads are served by our SharePoint practice – the largest in the industry, as well as our Exchange and Lync offerings.
Just last month, we announced Fanatical Support for Office 365.
We’ve long supported SQL server workloads. And last year, we began offering Microsoft virtualization, private clouds and support of the Microsoft cloud platform (Hyper-V, System Center and Azure Pack) in all our data centers. We also became a member of the Microsoft Cloud OS Network.
Supporting Microsoft’s comprehensive cloud stack is a natural extension of our longstanding partnership, and aligns perfectly with our strategy of wrapping specialized and managed expertise around industry leading technologies.
Rackspace will attend Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Orlando this July, to accept this award and expand our network of Microsoft Partners.
