Rackspace Becomes Certified SAP Infrastructure Partner

Rackspace is excited to announce that we are now a certified SAP Infrastructure Partner!

This certification recognizes hosting and cloud providers that meet the high standards for the management of SAP solutions. Bringing exceptional services to our customers is a pillar of Fanatical Support and that’s why Rackspace, led by our Digital practice, undertook this enormous effort to get SAP certified.

Rackspace Digital has deep expertise in the management of SAP’s Hybris Commerce application, an enterprise-grade ecommerce solution that can be customized to meet the unique needs of B2C and B2B retailers. Ecommerce hosting is extremely complex, and with revenue on the line, the stakes couldn’t be any higher.

“When customers bring us their ecommerce application, we want then to know they’ve made the right decision by partnering with Rackspace,” said Kyle Metcalf, the general manager of Rackspace Digital.

SAP Partner Certified

To become an SAP Infrastructure Partner, Rackspace had to pass a detailed audit as well as an on-site datacenter review. The audit and data center review focused on all aspects of service delivery and customer support. Specifically, Rackspace had to demonstrate excellence in incident management, change management, security protocols (physical as well as virtual), service level agreements and standards, process flow and documentation, as well as infrastructure management. The thorough on-site datacenter review focused on operations and infrastructure management.

Since the inception of Rackspace Digital, some of the world’s largest brands have relied on our physical infrastructure and the skills and experience of our engineers, to run their online store. This experience has paid off; Rackspace was recently named the top hosting for the Internet Retailer Top 1,000 for the sixth year in a row.

“Being the top choice for online retailers is an honor and a tremendous responsibility,” Metcalf said. “The SAP certification is an extension of our commitment to our customers and to keeping their Hybris store secure and performing at its best.”

It’s for those reasons Rackspace built an entire business around hosting ecommerce applications. With security, scalability and performance nuances, it takes a specialized team of application and infrastructure engineers to ensure ecommerce applications, such as SAP’s Hybris Commerce, perform at their best.
