Rackspace Cloud Sites Upgrades To Microsoft SQL Server 2012

Last month we talked about past, present and future of Cloud Sites and touched upon some of the features you can expect in the future. Today, we are excited to announce that Rackspace Cloud Sites now supports Microsoft SQL Server 2012. A list of the latest versions of all software supported by Cloud Sites is available here.

The new SQL Server 2012 offering will improve stability, performance and security for Cloud Sites customers.

As of January 31, 2013  Microsoft SQL Server 2008 will no longer be supported by Cloud Sites, therefore we encourage customers to migrate their existing databases to SQL Server 2012. Please refer to the Migrating from SQL 2008 to SQL 2012 Knowledge Center article for details on migration
