SXSW Interactive officially kicked off on Friday, but Rackspace had reason to celebrate Thursday night with a packed pool deck full of partners and customers at the W Hotel in Austin. It was there we unveiled our commitment to specialize in content, commerce and mobile with the launch party for our Rackspace Digital practice. Partygoers enjoyed great company, hors d’oeuvres, libations, music mixes, great visuals, cool swag and the chance to learn about our plans in the digital space from Rackspace specialists. It was truly a night that will be talked about long after SXSW is over.
“Our experience with Rackspace is fantastic,” exclaimed Derek Neff, Channel Manager at Corra, the full service ecommerce systems integration agency that does everything for its clients from design, development, strategy and support for ecommerce projects. “The new Rackspace Digital emphasis allows us to really broaden our reach, reaching bigger pieces of the market, and utilize the resources that Rackspace Digital will be able to provide to us as an agency partner to really help our customers push the needle and optimize their ecommerce businesses.”
Scott Sanchez, Director of Rackspace Digital, who was at the party to meet and greet key partners and customers, said, “Rackspace has been helping our customers in the digital space for many years and partnered with some of the top agencies and technology providers in the space. We really have come to understand the business of digital – content, commerce and mobile – and the digital experience the customers expect.”
Working with leading agencies from coast to coast, Engagency is a trusted Sitecore Certified Solutions Partner that specializes in working with partners to support their client relationships with a full line of value-added Sitecore services. The company’s CEO, Jason Perry, who was at the Rackspace Digital launch party, said, “We’ve been working with Rackspace for years because of the quality of service. I can sleep at night knowing that my customers’ applications are up and running.”
And Perry said he is truly excited about Rackspace’s continuing commitment to the digital space.
“The announcement about Rackspace Digital is very exciting to me, because it signals a recognition that this sector is growing and needs more focus and attention, and it signals to me Rackspace’s commitment to invest in this space and provide a deeper, broader and more robust level of service.”
As the festivities were coming to a close at the Rackspace Digital launch party, Corra’s Neff added, “What a great way to kick off Rackspace Digital. What better city than to do it in than Austin at SXSW. Rackspace always throws a great party… and I’m really privileged to be a part of it!”
