More than 12,500 IT practitioners & business leaders from 100 countries attended the conference, including many of Rackspace’s partners, like VMware and Microsoft. A cross-functional group of Rackspace employees spoke about of how we can help in achieving digital transformation in your organization.

Kicking things off, Michael Dell explained why it’s critical for every company to develop a “technology DNA” at their core, so they can effectively respond to the disruptions affecting every company, in every industry.

Rackspace experts met and spoke with many attendees at our booth about our end-to-end solutions offerings. We help organizations find the right cloud, offer capacity planning, migrating services, and perhaps most importantly, our 24x7x365 Fanatical Support after migration.

Jaret Chiles, senior director for Professional Services at Rackspace, presented the key challenges of data migration challenges and the Rackspace’s unique methodology for migration. John A. Davis, a senior integration consultant at Rackspace and an industry recognized VMware expert, signed and gave away his book, VCP6-DCV Officials Cert Guide.

John shared his knowledge with more than 125 attendees while autographing copies of his book and giving helpful certification advice along the way. Several attendees noted they planned to attempt the VCP6-DCV exam at VMworld in Las Vegas this fall, and were looking forward to preparing with the help of his guide

Rackspace Senior Manager of Solution Engineering Marc Hadler described Rackspace’s expertise with the increasingly complex multi-cloud environments most companies now find themselves in. Read more about “Navigating the Multi-Cloud Maze.”

Rackspace Director of Technical Marketing Doug Denny, described how Feeding America, the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the U.S., is using Rackspace Private Cloud powered by VMware and Rackspace Dedicated Servers to help coordinate food distribution for more than 46 million people. The nonprofit can now focus on managing its nationwide network of food banks, while Rackspace keeps it secure, scalable and available with hundreds of on-demand VMware Certified Professionals.

Shobhit Bhutani joined Rackspace in 2016 as a product marketing manager in storage. He oversees storage product strategy, value proposition creation and customer messaging. Before this, Shobhit worked in different roles in marketing, sales and business operations. In these roles, Shobhit launched several product lines in consumer hardware, software and peripherals. Shobhit also led large business transformation initiatives over the course of the past 16 years.
