Rackspace Mexico City is Hiring!

Plaza Carso is home to Rackspace's expanding Mexico City office.

Opened in 2014, Rackspace’s Mexico City office is booming — and now it’s expanding.

Originally created to bring Fanatical Support closer to the customers we serve in Latin America, the team is growing to address the developing needs of both our U.S. and Latin American customers.

“The goal is to tap into the impressive talent pool of engineers here in Mexico City, one of the most dynamic cities in Latin America,” said Alvaro Roa Santamaria, vice president and general manager over Latin American markets, “then train them to ensure they have Rackspace’s Fanatical Support DNA.”

To that end, Rackspace now has an aggressive recruitment initiative underway in Mexico, to keep growing our footprint in the United States’ southern neighbor. Current Mexico City Rackers work with Latin American-based customers, but the expansion means the opportunity to work with U.S.-based clients as well. Applicants must be fluent in English and Spanish.

“We want to recruit those who want to keep learning the latest exciting technologies and who are passionate about customer service, which is what sets Rackspace apart from the competition,” said Roa Santamaria. “Our plan is to grow our center of excellence in Mexico. We are convinced this will become one of Rackspace’s key locations and we are thrilled about the opportunities Mexico creates for us as a company and for our Rackers there,” he said.

Rackspace is looking for engineers with expertise in Linux, Windows and Oracle, account managers and sales specialists. We’re hiring for non-technical roles as well.

The Mexico City office, located on Plaza Carso, gives Rackers easy access to local restaurants, supermarkets, cafes and museums. Mexico City Rackers are encouraged to get involved in the community through Rack Gives Back (Rackspace’s charitable organization) events and participate in all the trainings and resources available to Rackers world-wide through Rackspace University.

“Rackspace invests a lot to develop Rackers,” notes Roa Santamaria, one of the reasons the company makes so many “great places to work” lists, including the FORTUNE “100 Best Companies to Work For,”  “Best Tech Workplaces” and “Best Workplaces for Parents” in 2017. We’re also a top workplace for Latinas, parents, millennials and veterans.
