Recognizing Rackspace’s Next-Gen Managed Service Provider Capabilities

As cloud adoption has reached critical mass, we’ve found that customers require increasingly comprehensive cloud services and support  to keep pace with the demands of their digital transformation to the cloud (often multiple clouds).

“Next-generation” managed service providers, or MSPs, have evolved to keep pace with these needs, serving as their customers’ partner and guide for cloud adoption. Next-gen MSPs not only plan and oversee migration and provide ongoing support services, they also help with adoption of new cloud capabilities, identify optimization opportunities and help accelerate cloud maturity.

But which MSPs are truly next -generation? Where can you  find an objective evaluation of a provider’s next-gen capabilities?

Microsoft answers the call

To help answer this question, and in response to customer feedback, Microsoft has initiated the Azure Expert MSP program, which identifies those Azure MSPs delivering the high quality managed services across the entire cloud adoption and operations lifecycle.

Last week Rackspace earned Azure Expert MSP distinction for consistently delivering unmatched Microsoft Azure expertise and tech-enabled services in support of enterprise digital transformation.

In order to achieve this recognition, Rackspace:

  • Demonstrated a strong track record of customer success, through public case studies and private references. Our access to advanced Microsoft support and Azure engineering groups helps our teams resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Displayed strong technical knowledge and skills, far exceeding the minimum full-time employee certification quota for architectural, developmental and operational expertise.
  • Completed a rigorous, 64-step audit that assessed Rackspace employees, processes and technology relative to our ability to offer managed services for complex Azure environments.

As one of the first to be recognized with the Azure Expert MSP distinction, Rackspace is on the forefront of cloud development, having overseen countless deployments and possessing the resources to respond to problems, changes and incidents rapidly and effectively. We have deep experience across a broad portfolio of leading technologies, provide truly unbiased service recommendations for customer solutions and evaluate and deploy new and developing cloud tools and features.

Rackspace has a long history of collaboration with Microsoft. We’ve been a partner since 2001 and an Azure managed services partner since 2015. Our 13 Microsoft Partner Competencies in the Microsoft Partner Network and our more than 1,500 Microsoft technical certifications prove our expertise in delivering quality solutions across all areas of business. This year we were also a finalist for Microsoft’s 2018 Partner of the Year award within the Datacenter Transformation category, as well as a finalist for Microsoft’s UK Partner of the Year Award.

Whether you choose to weigh MSPs against next-gen standards or follow the guidance of an industry giant, you’ll come to the same conclusion. Rackspace is an industry leader, delivering transformation-as-a-service across applications, data, security and infrastructure through end-to-end services, including planning, migration, architectural design and build, and ongoing solution management.

  1. Absolutely yes, we all attached to cloud very much especially iOS users; that free 5GB iCloud storage is not just enough and relying on dropbox, google drive, azure, etc.

Looking forward to the more advanced and reliable services in nearest future
