Red Hat Names Rackspace 2018 North America Managed Service Partner of the Year

Rackspace was recently honored by Red Hat as the North American Managed Service Partner of the Year.

This recognition, announced during the 2018 Red Hat North American Partner Conference, recognizes “the Red Hat partner with the most significant impact on the Red Hat business and who provides exceptional customer satisfaction for cloud infrastructure and solutions.”

We are always honored to receive recognition for providing an outstanding customer experience. Since our founding, we’ve strived to deliver a unique blend of technical expertise, easy-to-use tools, proven processes, and results-obsessed customer service that we call Fanatical Experience.

Receiving this recognition from Red Hat is particularly meaningful, as it shows that our Fanatical Experience is valued not only by customers but also by partners who are admired and respected throughout our industry.

For the past 10 years, Rackspace and Red Hat have focused on delivering highly secure and reliable open-source cloud solutions for enterprises. We’ve been a Red Hat certified cloud and service provider since 2012, and, in 2015, Racker Carl Thompson was named Red Hat’s Certified Professional of the Year, one of more than 350 Red Hat certified professionals working at Rackspace.

In the OpenStack community, Red Hat and Rackspace bring more experience and expertise than any other companies. As a founder of OpenStack, Rackspace has operated OpenStack clouds for some of the world’s largest companies and has more than one billion server hours of experience.  Together, Red Hat and Rackspace have contributed more lines of code than anyone else – a combined 14 million, representing 28 percent of all code contributed since OpenStack was founded in 2010.

In 2016, we combined our joint experience and expertise to launch Rackspace Private Cloud powered by Red Hat, which provides enterprises who’ve built their stacks around a Red Hat partnership the option to consume it as a fully managed service, complete with Red Hat’s additional level of ongoing, expert support and Rackspace’s industry-leading 99.99 percent uptime SLA guarantee.

Since then, we’ve continued to expand its capabilities, adding support for both standard and long-life Red Hat OpenStack Platform releases, launching managed Red Hat Ceph software-defined storage as-a-service and supporting the latest versions of Red Hat OpenStack Platform, including managed support for OSP 13, which is coming soon.

We serve large enterprises in the financial services, travel, telecommunications, automotive, energy and quantum computing sectors, all of whom highly value the security, stability and reliability of a fully-validated, tested and certified Red Hat OpenStack private cloud, delivered as-a-service.

Delighting and serving customers in some of the largest, most complex industries in the world is core to our mission. We look forward to continuing to do so by developing joint cloud solutions for the enterprise with a partner like Red Hat, which recognized Rackspace as the 2017 Innovator of the Year for the hard work and innovation built into Rackspace Private Cloud powered by Red Hat.
