Relax and Recharge at the Rackspace Cantina During OpenStack Summit Austin

OpenStack Summits can be hectic — visit the Rackspace Cantina and chill with free food, drinks, tech talks, book signings and maker activities.

openstack Summit

For this year’s OpenStack Summit, Rackspace wanted to create a place where attendees could power down and chill, with free food and drinks, or power up, with book signings and tech talks with OpenStack experts, plus some cool maker activities.

To do that, we transformed a local café (and its epic rooftop deck) into the Rackspace Cantina. Located on the corner of 2nd and Trinity, just across the street from the Austin Convention Center, the Cantina will be easy to spot – think big, red and bold. Can’t see it? Just listen; we’ve got Mariachi La Compañia playing each day around lunchtime.

We’ll open each morning right after the Summit keynote address, offering lunch, drinks, power outlets, tech talks, activities, games and book signings each day. On Wednesday, Austin’s own Thinkery science museum will host three tables for three hours of maker activities, including 3D printing, circuit blocks, mini-robots and a DIY version of “Rock Band.”

All events require a Summit badge for attendance. Bookmark this page so you’ll always know what’s going on!
