Report: Rackspace Named a Top Player in Cloud Business Email


For the second year in a row, The Radicati Group has named Rackspace a Cloud Business Email market “Top Player” in the 2017 Market Quadrant report. The annual report evaluates vendors on a number of features and capabilities and illustrates how they each fit within a given technology market using a four-quadrant matrix.

Rackspace is one of four cloud business email vendors to earn this highest designation. Top Players are described as, “the current market leaders, with products that offer both breadth and depth of functionality, as well as possess a solid vision for the future. Top Players shape the market with their technology and strategic vision.”

  • A “wealth of email and collaboration options,” including Rackspace Email, Hosted Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and Encrypted Exchange Online, each include top-tier support directly from Rackspace.
  • A unified management portal “via its simple and capable Rackspace Control Panel, allowing IT administrators to easily manage all services from a centralized location.”

Analysts evaluate each of the nine companies included in the report by cloud email platforms, mailbox size, centralized management consoles, and many other capabilities

Additionally, pricing, customer support and professional services are taken into consideration. Other top players are Google, Microsoft and Intermedia.
