Microsoft’s SharePoint Conference 2012 has officially begun! Sunday night was the big expo hall opening reception at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas.
At this year’s SharePoint Conference, which runs from November 12 through November 15 in Las Vegas, the Rackspace team plans to hit the ground running to help you get the most out of the experience. There will be 20 of us onsite at the conference to make sure we are your source for all things SharePoint!  Even if you aren’t able to make it to Vegas this year, you can still count on us to bring you information from the front lines through various posts, tweets and webcasts. Here’s where you can find us this week. Be sure to take note and add the times to your calendars now!

It’s been a BIG summer here at Rackspace for all of our SharePoint-focused people. In July, Microsoft announced and demoed a whole fleet of new and improved products. For us, the biggest were the preview release of Office 2013 and the SharePoint Server 2013 Preview. Take a look at the official announcement from Microsoft about the Office 2013 Preview. There is a lot of cool stuff to see, so buckle in and get ready to hear more about SharePoint 2013!
It was another big week here at Rackspace. A lot happened, and there’s more to come. Here’s the breakdown, in case you missed it.
Migrating SharePoint from an on-premise environment to a SharePoint service provider offers an ideal opportunity to streamline data stores by consolidating resources and functionality while using governance tools to plan for ongoing data management. However, the migration process can also be a complex, hard-to-manage project resulting in lost productivity, data corruption or loss of critical functionality if it’s not properly planned and executed. Here are a few points to consider when gearing up for a SharePoint migration.
With SharePoint 2013 in beta, we wanted to bring what we’ve learned straight to you. Join us for a week of webinars hosted by our SharePoint experts.
Another busy week is in the books here at Rackspace, and we’re pumped about what’s to come. In case you missed anything, here’s a handy digest to get you up to speed.
