SMB Customers Offered Cloud-Based Phone System from Microsoft

For any business to survive in the modern world, collaboration and communication is key. This is especially true for small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) who need to be able to communicate seamlessly to remain competitive and responsive. The answer to this comes in the form of Microsoft 365 Business Voice which is the cloud-based phone system now being made available for up to 300 seats per customer. At the time of writing, it is available to customers of any size as an add-on to Office 365 Business Essentials, Office 365 Business Premium, or Microsoft 365 Business.

The full-featured phone system is being launched in the UK this November. It has been built to fulfil productivity potential in an all-in-one communication solution that combines voice calls, meetings and messaging in a single application available on any device, with Microsoft Teams. Users can connect faster and easier from any location on any device.

Microsoft 365 Business Voice allows users to make, receive, and transfer calls to and from landlines and mobile phones on the public switched telephone network (PSTN). And by opting to have a Teams UI on a desk phone, a seamless Teams experience can be delivered across a variety of certified devices.  Microsoft 365 Business Voice also enables customers to host dial-in audio conferences.

The cloud-based phone solution can port phone numbers from a businesses’ current service provider to Business Voice, ensuring no business is lost. Optional handsets are also available, leveraging existing network infrastructure. Microsoft Teams Rooms brings a consistent experience to all meeting spaces with one-touch join and a rich set of AI enabled capabilities. Using this means there is no need to remember numerous logins.

It is all designed for ease-of-use from beginning to end offering the flexibility and convenience that employees require in the modern work world.  Using Microsoft Business Voice reduces the complexity and training required as everything is consolidated into a single provider and into one app for all your communications needs. There is no need for expensive and complicated on-premises hardware.
