Three reasons we’re a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Professional and Managed Services, Worldwide

I’m delighted that Rackspace has been announced as a Leader in Gartner’s 2019 Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Professional and Managed Service Providers. We believe this recognition is validation of our ongoing improvement.

The multi-cloud market is expected to grow substantially over the next three years, and companies continue to face the complexities that come with it. Technology is more linked to customer experience and revenue than ever before, so there’s added focus for companies to make the right investment choices.

The Magic Quadrant is a great tool to help companies understand the market. Gartner review a company’s ability to execute and the completeness of vision. This year, the quadrant has been updated to include Professional Services. This is an area of strength for us, so I’m especially pleased we’ve been listed as a Leader for the third year in a row.

Helping customers close the gap between the complexity of today and the promise of tomorrow

Last year, Gartner noted what we’ve been seeing for some time; the rising importance of professional services within the Public Cloud market.

All businesses are on some sort of transformation journey; and everyone is at a different stage and facing different challenges. From a data-centre heavy operation, to a born-in-the-cloud start-up, Professional Services can help customers overcome the challenges throughout their journey.

Because of the value we’re offering customers, our Professional Services business grew an incredible 177% in 2018. We provide everything from initial assessments to full migration and support. We simplify the transformation journey, and help customers close the gap between the complex realities of today and the promise of tomorrow.

Accelerating the value of the cloud during every phase of a customer’s digital transformation

Now businesses are increasingly using technology to generate revenue, the role of a CTO or CIO has become more complex, with higher stakes than ever before. And the pace of change has increased. When a revenue stream stops working, lengthy projects or long RFPs just don’t work. Customer orientated decisions need to be made fast and action taken.

We offer complete flexibility to our customers to support this agility – across pricing, platforms, and services – and this enables our customers to get more value at every stage of their transformation journey.

Our new Service Blocks model offers a huge advantage to customers. Services like tooling, architecture, management, and cost governance, become modules where you plug, play and pay only when needed. Allowing customers to focus their energies and resources exactly where they need them.

‘Fanatical Experience’

Since our founding in 1998, Rackspace has continuously evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. We go beyond traditional managed services; delivering expert cloud guidance, customisable services and multi-cloud technologies. But on top of this, we add what makes us unique. A Fanatical Experience. And this is completely focused on our customers’ success.

Being the best technology services company in the world

Our goal is to be the best technology services company in the world. And I think two decades of deep customer experience and Gartner’s external validation show that we’re on track.
