Did you know that Rackspace Cloud Files[2] features a robust application programming interface (API) to help you create killer apps? It can be used to:

• Upload files programmatically for tight integration with your app
• Enable Cloud Files CDN integration on any container for public distribution
• Create Containers programatically
• Retrieve lists of containers and files

The Cloud Files API supports language-specific bindings for PHP, Python, Java, Ruby and C#/.NET, so you can work with your preferred language.

Looking for inspiration? Check out some of great apps[3] already using the Cloud Files API[4].

Already have a Cloud Files App? King of the Apps: Cloud Files Edition[5] is just around the corner and the May 2 deadline is nearly here.

So show us what your app can do with the Cloud Files API[4], and you could be on your way to Vegas to duke it out with the reigning King of the Apps.

The last app standing will be crowned King of the Apps and go home with $5,000 in cash and a $5,000 Cloud credit from Rackspace. And the runner-up will walk away with a $1,000 Cloud credit from Rackspace.

See you in Vegas on May 10!

BTW, Good luck Charbonnel Chocolates[6] on your new US release tomorrow :)
