Solving For the Cloud [VIDEO]

Rackspace, Microsoft and Guest Forrester Research Discuss All Things Cloud Computing

Although it’s become apparent that cloud is here to stay, businesses and particularly enterprises still have a lot of unanswered questions when it comes to the cloud.

That’s certainly understandable — moving business-critical workloads to any new environment is a large undertaking, and even simple questions around what should be moved to the cloud and why deserve a closer look.

Rackspace has always helped its customers navigate tough questions by offering access to our deep pool of experts. In that vein, and in an effort to tackle some of the larger questions that remain about the cloud, we invited Microsoft and a moderator from Forrester Research for our inaugural edition of “Solving for the Cloud,” an ongoing video series in which Rackspace experts sit down with industry experts to share their thoughts on all things cloud computing.

Forrester Research Principal Analyst Bill Martorelli moderates these discussions, and is joined by General Manager and Chief Strategist for Microsoft’s Cloud + Enterprise Division James Staten, and Chief Technologist Jeff DeVerter, who oversees the portfolio of Microsoft offerings at Rackspace.

The first installment kicks off with some of the motives that exist for moving to the cloud, including the flexibility and agility some businesses are able to harness by creating new capabilities and delivering them to customers faster.

Check out the videos here and stay tuned as we continue to add new topics to this great new series. Enjoy!
