It was an exciting week for the Rackers who attended VMworld 2016 in Las Vegas, where we had the opportunity to share exciting news with VMware’s large ecosystem of customers and partners.
We had the privilege of showing off some of our best and brightest minds — colleagues who help deliver Fanatical Support to Rackspace customers using VMware’s software platforms. If you weren’t able to attend the show, read on to learn more about what you missed in Las Vegas.
VMware’s Software-Defined Data Center is now backed by Fanatical Support
Rackspace announced early access to new capabilities in our Rackspace Private Cloud powered by VMware. Rackspace will support the key software-defined components that enable VMware’s vision for the SDDC — including NSX, vSAN and the vRealize suite of operations and automation offerings — while making it easier for VMware customers to put these exciting new technologies to work.
Early access is expected to begin in the fall of 2016. Rackspace will be actively seeking early access customers who want to operate development and testing workloads on the VMware SDDC platform and help us shape the future of this product.
A virtual recap of Rackspace at VMworld
Rackers gave a lot of talks at VMworld, both official VMworld breakout tracks and informal talks in our booth. We also interviewed our Rackers on Facebook Live and Periscope to get their thoughts on VMworld announcements and capture some of their experiences on the VMworld floor.
In an upcoming blog post we will share recorded versions of the Racker talks given in the booth on the VMworld expo hall floor, so check back soon for those!
