Why We Craft OpenStack (Featuring Software Developer Anne Gentle)

As OpenStack Summit Atlanta fast approaches, we wanted to dig deeper into the past, present and future of OpenStack. In this video series, we hear straight from some of OpenStack’s community members from Rackspace about how the fast-growing open source project has evolved, what it needs to continue thriving and what it means to them personally.

In the video below, Anne Gentle, Rackspace Software Developer, Documentation Program Technical Lead and Technical Committee member speaks of the importance of documentation in user adoption, the growing presence of women in the OpenStack community and some fabulous future use cases for OpenStack.

“We don’t have a planet cloud unless everyone can consume the documentation, stand up their own, poke at it, make sure it’s real,” says Anne, “and so that’s where documentation is our first goal of adoption in OpenStack, and everything just falls from there.”

Be sure to check out previous installments in the “Why We Craft OpenStack” video series featuring Rackers Kurt Griffiths, Jarret Raim, Ed Leafe, Chuck Their and Glen Campbell. We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta for OpenStack Summit, May 12 through May 16.
